To get closer to the Spirit, read books like Ephesians which provide guidance on how to do so. The important thing is to understand that spiritual things can only be known through the Spirit. Revelation is a spiritual manifestation that requires the Holy Ghost. It is necessary to have the Spirit in order to receive sacramental prayers and be open to revelation from prophets. Life is difficult and mysterious, but God will reveal His secrets through personal revelation and prophetic utterance. It is crucial not to give up despite the challenges.

Dr. Matthew Richardson discusses the importance of revelation to become truly converted to Jesus Christ and why we wear “the whole armor of God.”
