Weight of sensory data in generative models

When attending to something, the sensory data is given more weight in determining the contents of the generative model. This is a constant interplay between the likelihood of the data and the priors, where sensory information can override prior expectations. Despite only a small portion of the visual scene being seen in color and accurately at any given time, the brain creates a coherent and colorful representation of the entire scene.
