Unity in Christ Brings Freedom from Sin

Through the work of the Spirit, faith unites believers with Jesus Christ, facilitating a transformation where they are not merely followers but are 'in Christ.' This unity signifies participation in Christ’s death and resurrection, leading to a new life liberated from sin. Baptism symbolizes this union, marking a transition where believers die to the dominion of sin and embrace newness of life. Consequently, if individuals are united with Christ and have died to sin, they cannot continue to live in it; they should resist allowing sin to regain its hold over them.
