Narratives and fundamentals are useless for rationalizing spending. Liquidity is all that matters when buying assets, regardless of their value. Fundamentals and narratives can lead to overvalued acquisitions. Like a chicken without its head, it doesn't matter how good an asset is if there's no one to buy it.
