Lists of People I Respect and Look Up To

During my challenging years as a junior professor from 2011 to 2015, I found solace in creating a list of mentors I admired. These mentors included Jim Thiebo, Mike Menser, Tim Armstrong, and others. Although I didn't seek them out directly, I looked up to and respected them. I would often refer to this list for inspiration and strive to embody certain traits that they possessed. While I may not share all of their interests or talents, like singing or running a skateboard company, Jim's generosity is something I admire and aspire to emulate.
