Human beings tend to struggle with estimating probabilities accurately, often simplifying them into three categories: zero percent, 100 percent, or 50 percent. This bias leads people to have difficulty accepting probabilities that fall outside these three values, such as 70 percent. This cognitive bias can impact decision-making in various aspects of life, including medical choices where probabilities play a crucial role in determining outcomes.
