Many churches have been focused on surviving the pandemic and getting people back. However, pastors are now realizing the need for a bold move. Metrics like giving and volunteering have declined, making pastors rethink their vision. A three to five year vision feels too distant, so the focus should be on the present and near future. Vision statements are often just a restatement of the mission, but a one-page document highlighting bold moves is more effective. This document should describe the move and explain why the church believes God wants them to pursue it.
