The Future of Robotics and Human Interactions
The future of robots taking over human jobs in the fast food industry may be possible, but it is still many years away. Technology needs to advance in terms of robot dexterity. However, there will always be a need for human-operated teams, at least for the next decade. Current fast food models have low wages due to tight margins, but operators would like to pay their employees more. In the past 20 years, human interactions have decreased with the rise of online ordering and food delivery. Some people prefer the convenience, while others still value face-to-face interactions, such as the friendly service at Chick-fil-A and In-N-Out.
