LP little a as a Causal Biomarker for Cardiovascular Disease
LP little a is likely to be declared as the second causal biomarker for atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease. Evidence supporting its role as a causal biomarker comes from a graded linear temporal relationship in population research, mechanistic evidence, and intervention trials. While there is potential for it to become a target for treatment, the specific agents for targeting it are still under development.
