Markets = Ecologies: You Need A Good Balance of Plants (Public Orgs) and Animals (Private Orgs)

The traditional economic framing of markets and states as competing institutions is misconceived. An alternative view sees them as mutually interdependent and interacting institutions that should collectively serve the public good and human well-being. The focus should be on how they interact to create a healthy ecology, akin to needing both plants and animals in a healthy ecology.
