The Extreme Caricature of the Sigma Male Meme
The stereotype of the sigma male lone wolf is an extreme version of the independent man. Men going their own way and incels also embody this idea of separating from society, but in different ways. Instead of blaming men, we should encourage them to do better. If they feel rejected by society, they may respond with apathy. A positive vision of masculinity should be aspirational and beneficial to find.
