How to Use a Short Block of Time
When you have these unexpected gifts of free time, as i've talked about before, what makes a break good is if you don't press those emotional saliency buttons. The other opt is deep breaks. So have not a standing task to work on, but a standing break that you enjoy to engage in. Have a book or magazine you're reading. Have a walking route you go on. Go to a coffee shop you like to go to get a certain type of coffee. It's not really related to your work. You can do something fun and non-stressful while still making progress.
