Validator Node Rotation and Security in Near Blockchain

Validator nodes in the Near blockchain are assigned to different shards every 12 hours to prevent collusion and enhance security. This rotation is part of the security model to avoid any single shard takeovers. Further enhancements in progress, known as phase two, will allow more nodes to validate each shard without needing the full state of the shard, increasing the number of validators in the network and securing each shard without high requirements for those nodes.
