The Importance of Strength and Power Training As We Age

As a sociologist, I've discovered that there are many different types of exercise, including cardiovascular training, flexibility, and resistance. However, the most important aspect is strength and power training. As we age, power is the most significant thing we lose. In order to stay fit, it's essential to be flexible, which is why I recommend yoga. Studies have shown that the ability to balance on one leg and get off the floor unassisted is correlated with mortality rates. So, even though I initially disliked yoga, I now understand its importance and practice it regularly.
