The evolution of poker has shifted from intuitive gameplay to a more analytical approach, driven by game theory optimal solutions. As more players grasp these strategies, the competitive landscape becomes saturated, leading to diminishing returns on time invested—resulting in a zero-sum game among top players. Consequently, the potential for professional success in poker is declining, making it less advisable to pursue it as a career. However, learning poker remains highly beneficial, as it serves as an effective exercise for mastering complex decision-making skills applicable in various life scenarios.
