NAC for Massive Acetaminophen Ingestions
Defining a massive ingestion in terms of tablets is tough. Getting a concentration level after eight hours is recommended, but starting NAC within eight hours of acute ingestion usually results in a successful treatment. Getting a level within eight hours is recommended for treatment decisions.
