The War in Russia

Russia quickly realized the long-term and challenging nature of the war in Ukraine after its invasion attempts, while the West, especially the United States and Europe, took longer to comprehend the gravity of the situation. Ukraine mobilized first, followed by Russia, who understood the lengthy nature of the conflict by September 2022. The West, however, lacked practical mobilization. The lack of seriousness and delay in acknowledging the prolonged nature of the conflict in Europe, as exemplified by the Finnish munitions plant announcement, is concerning. The Dutch Prime Minister's role in obstructing increases in support is particularly criticized.
