Recognizing that we are in a choice point is crucial. We often make decisions without thinking. Bringing awareness to our decision-making process is the first step. Once we are aware, we can use our executive functioning tools to make better choices. Our mindset can either hinder or support our executive functioning. The old patterns and narratives we tell ourselves can distract us from considering all the options. It's important to avoid black and white thinking and rigid scripts.
