The Dual Nature of Brain Hemispheres
The brain is traditionally divided into two hemispheres, with key differences being that it is divided at all, asymmetrical, and contains a band of fibers. The corpus callosum, unique to mammals, inhibits communication between the hemispheres. The left hemisphere focuses on narrow, focused attention, while the right hemisphere observes the big picture.
