Embrace Updates Over Messages

Current software systems predominantly rely on message-oriented architecture, leading to cumbersome communication when updates to resources occur. Instead of sending messages, a paradigm shift towards sending updates that reflect the evolving state of documents is necessary. The proposal of a 'subscribe' verb would allow resources at specific URLs to change over time without needing to repeatedly redefine how those changes are communicated. This approach could enhance systems like HTTP by incorporating a fundamental capability for dynamic resource updates, streamlining interactions and improving efficiency.
