The Oslo Accords were landmark agreements aimed at establishing a framework for peace between Israel and the Palestine Liberation Organization, ultimately leading to the creation of the Palestinian National Authority. However, the initiative faced significant backlash and criticism, particularly regarding the influence of Israeli political leadership, such as Netanyahu. Public sentiment in Israel shows that a majority of communities believe not enough is being done to address the situation in Gaza, with a notable resistance to humanitarian aid. This perspective is shaped by a narrative depicting Palestinians as adversaries, fostering animosity. The cycle of dehumanization and retaliation complicates the quest for solutions in an already torn region.
