The Symbolic World

NOTE

Recurrence and Repetition Shape Our Interpretation of the World

Exposing ourselves to recurrence and repetition allows our memories to interpret and understand the world around us. This is evident in the cycles of day and night, seasonal changes, and various rituals and holidays. These rhythms and practices help us gather and understand our experiences, forming fundamental patterns that shape our interpretation of the world. Without these memories and patterns, we would be unable to recognize and interpret the world around us, similar to an infant who cannot recognize unfamiliar patterns.
