The US government's foreign policy actions have led to a loss of trust and risk for any country with savings in the US. This decision was made despite the understanding that the post Keynesians were largely right about the fragility of the financial system. The credibility of US assets have been in question since 2008, and although markets have recovered, there is concern about another bubble. Unlike the 2008 crash, there is now a lot more skepticism and awareness of the risks in asset market valuations.
