The universe is consciousness
The universe is made out of consciousness. When you experience yourself as pure consciousness, there is an undeniable intimacy with everything. It is accessible through meditation or being in nature. However, it is not stable when interacting with the world. Some people experience this as a potent sense of self-validation and pure being. It is different from the non-duality where the subject-object construct disappears. This stage feels enlightened and spontaneous. There are various degrees of interconnection and the taste of real non-duality comes and goes. Eventually, the honeymoon phase fades and the conditioning takes over, causing a longing for that state.
