Muscle Gain from Protein Supplementation is Small

Protein supplementation has a relatively small effect on muscle gain, contributing only a little on top of the muscle gained from regular gym workouts. Research indicates that around 90% or more of muscle gain comes from exercise, with protein supplementation offering a minor additional benefit. Factors such as timing, type, and leucine content of the protein are relevant but overall the impact of protein supplementation on muscle gain is not significantly substantial.
