The choice of different interpretations of emptiness reflects varying worldviews and self-perceptions. Individuals select particular views that either constrain possibilities or expand them, influencing their understanding of reality. For some, this choice leads to a worldview that sees life as inherently purposeless and random, suggesting that the existence of consciousness and life is a mere byproduct of chaotic atomic interactions over time, with everything else being deemed empty.

On this episode I'm joined once again by meditation teacher and author Rob Burbea. For this conversation Jamie Bristow and I talk with Rob about his approach to emptiness, and how it can be a route beyond postmodern nihilism and into a vibrant and sacred participation in the world.
