Yesterday, I taught at Inside Out, a two-day training event for new staff members. Inside Out is an intentionally created system designed to develop strong and effective leaders. Whether you realize it or not, your organization has systems in place, either by intent or by default. Your systems are a combination of what you expect and what you allow. To create systems that sustain momentum, be clear on your expectations, reward when expectations are met, and correct when they are not. Great people will then create great systems.
Creating momentum is like launching a rocket. You’ll use a disproportionate amount of energy to get off the ground, but once you overcome gravity, you can maintain your momentum with minimal effort. Today, Craig shares the four factors that fuel momentum.
