The human experience, including intelligence and consciousness, cannot be fully simulated by the computer according to Roger Pernos, due to the way human minds deal with infinities. Our experience exists only in a simulation constructed through a story in a game engine. Therefore, physical systems cannot be conscious, but rather only the story of a system can be conscious.
