The Indictment Can Start at the UI

The personal computer that begat all this and we haven't really gone past it. We just carried around with this now is arguably too personal. It is in fact entirely solipsistic. Both by dint of the way the operating system works. The indictment can start at the UI but it gets all the way down to the silicon. And so all of these machines, all of these systems were defined solely to support the activities and the thinking and the work of an individual person at a time. And that's so unhuman.
