Changing Kids' Perceptions of Vegetables and Making Healthy Food Tasty
Kids often develop biases against certain foods without having actually tried them. For example, spinach is often seen as a gross and healthy vegetable. However, by making spinach taste like mac and cheese, it becomes more appealing to children. The speaker learned this from their seven-year-old, who pointed out that the food simply didn't taste good. This realization led the speaker to experiment with different cooking methods, such as roasting broccoli instead of steaming it. By making the food taste good, children become more willing to try it.
