Clear communication of values is crucial; accepting short-term gains that harm long-term objectives should be explicitly rejected. Illustrating this stance through concrete examples or thought experiments helps convey the seriousness of the commitment. For instance, sharing a past situation where a detrimental decision was made, such as awarding a bonus for unethical practices, emphasizes that such behavior will not be tolerated. Moreover, actions must align with stated values to build trust; if individuals do not witness consistency between words and actions, they are less likely to believe in the commitment to long-term goals.
