A noticeable decline in people's emotional regulation and tolerance is occurring, exacerbated by increased reliance on technology. This leads to individuals becoming easily irritated and harder to engage with. Furthermore, the rise of social media platforms fosters echo chambers that contribute to radicalization, causing individuals to adopt more extreme viewpoints and diminishing their capacity for empathy. As burnout sets in, empathy tends to diminish first, reflecting a societal trend where personal struggles overshadow the ability to connect with others. Ultimately, this results in a more antagonistic environment where people are less understanding and more polarized in their beliefs.
