The Complexities of Christian Perspectives on War
Whether you're a pacifist or believe in just war, the decision to go to war should not be taken lightly. The standard for Christians to engage in war is intentionally made difficult by theologians. It is not Christlike to retaliate against evil. However, this does not mean that the state can never defend its citizens. As Christians, we must consider the complexities of our faith when it comes to war and the obligations of nation states. Let's also reflect on the land promise and the role of prayer in these matters.
