NOTE

Achieving Longevity Escape Velocity

Longevity escape velocity is a concept where scientific progress in curing diseases and treatments is outpacing the rate at which time uses up a person's lifespan. Currently, for every year lived, about four months are gained back, resulting in a net loss of eight months of lifespan annually. However, with exponential scientific progress, by the early 2030s, individuals may gain a full year of lifespan for every year lived. Beyond that point, individuals could potentially gain more than a year of lifespan annually, eventually reversing aging to go backwards in time.
