Raphael Leonidas Trujillo Molina

Raphael Trujillo was born in poverty in the Dominican Republic but later exaggerated his humble origins. His father was a minor postal clerk, often without income. Trujillo commissioned biographers to paint a different, more privileged picture of his upbringing. As an adult in power, he exaggerates his origins to cover up his insecurities.
