NOTE

C++ - What Kind of Type System Did Nicklaus Wiet Have?

Nicklaus Wiet's Pascals had a simple type system that reflected his needs and had a moral tone where if something could be said in Pascals, it was considered good. On the other hand, a language similar to Pascals, named Large, allowed users to build their own type system, aligning with the original idea of creating a domain-specific language by defining types and relations among them. Christen Newgore and Olihandal, who created Large, were mathematicians and used the term 'classes' to refer to types, which later influenced object-oriented programming languages like C++ where 'class' is a user-defined type.
