The Power of Sampling Continuous Signals and LTI Systems

The concept of sampling continuous signals enables the use of discrete techniques in machine learning and AI, as well as 19th-century mathematical methods. This idea is powerful as it allows the use of theorems from the 1800s to prove stability in models. An LTI system, known as a single input single output system, involves hidden states that evolve according to an ODE, constrained by matrices A and B. These matrices are learned, and the evolution of the hidden state is determined by a proportional function of the input and the previous state.
