NOTE

The Shadow in Jungian Theory and its Connection to Sin

In Jungian theory, the ego is the projected self individuals aspire to be, while the shadow represents the unconscious or denied aspects of the self. Jung believed that 90% of the shadow is actually valuable. The connection to sin lies in the unacknowledged wounds or issues that drive individuals to harmful behaviors. Unhealed wounds, like father wounds, can lead successful individuals to meaningful actions but also to failure if not addressed. Awareness, attention, and healing with community are essential to prevent the shadow from manifesting as sin.
