Transition Back to Public Markets Post Zero Interest Rate Environment
During the zero interest rate environment, companies were hesitant to go public as they could easily raise funds in private markets and avoid quarterly expectations. However, as the markets reopened and investor interest returned, companies like Instacart began to go public. With the revival of market multiples, it is anticipated that companies such as Canva, Revolut, and Stripe, who have significant revenue and are nearing the end of their 10-year lifecycles, will soon go public despite the challenges associated with tax obligations on RSUs.
