It is similar to other long staple cotton varieties like Giza, which is produced in Egypt. Supima cotton, on the other hand, is a trademarked brand of American Pima cotton that undergoes a certification process to ensure quality standards. While both Pima and Supima are fundamentally the same type of cotton, they generally feel similar in texture, with no significant differences noted in practical applications, such as bed sheets from brands like LL Bean.
