Ownership of Digital Assets

The demand for digital goods is high despite piracy, as people constantly crave more digital content due to the prevalence of mobile devices. While we have digital relationships and consume various digital content, the ownership of digital assets is ambiguous. Possessions saved offline, like photos and music, are considered owned, but the line between on-device and online ownership is blurred. Storing photos on cloud services may challenge ownership as the content is no longer exclusively on personal devices.
