The Size and Influence of the Christian Nationalist Movement

About 6% of Americans believe that God has called Christians to have dominion over all areas of American society, while 50% of Christian nationalists adhere to this ideology. Though a small group, they are well-organized and willing to overthrow election results. The appeal to heaven flag, a symbol embraced by Christian nationalists, is displayed outside Mike Johnson's congressional office. It represents the idea that when appeals to man fail, the last resort is to appeal to heaven. The flag is seen as a sign of support for certain elements of the constituency.
