Anticipate and Agitate

Anticipatory anxiety can significantly disrupt deep sleep quality. Each morning, the brain can become conditioned to a state of low-grade anxiety, akin to a fight or flight response. This persistent anxiety prevents the brain from allowing sufficient deep sleep, keeping it in a shallow state, which diminishes restorative processes. Living with this constant low-grade anxiety results in the brain remaining vigilant, hindering the ability to achieve true rest.
