Presidential Powers and Immunity from Prosecution
Presidents should be able to get things done and unite people. The Supreme Court, particularly the six conservative justices, believe that prosecuting a former president for actions taken while in office sets a dangerous precedent. They argued that a president should have some level of immunity from prosecution in order to govern effectively without fear of legal repercussions.
