Teenagers often struggle with distress and angst, not realizing that these feelings are normal and can be overcome like every generation before them. It is crucial for them to understand and take responsibility for their part in challenging situations. Encouraging teenagers to face their pain and difficulties with maturity and awareness is more beneficial than feeding into a mindset of victimhood and seeking validation for their struggles through therapy, which can sometimes lead to worsening of symptoms.
