Embrace Adaptation and Appreciation
Independence is often driven by the need to control, but embracing the need to control can lead to finding alternative ways to pursue activities. Despite limitations, adapting by using a recumbent bike to ride into the hills allows for compensation. Although frustration arises from slow progress, embracing it means enjoying the experience and appreciating the surroundings, such as hearing the birds during a slow bike ride. The inability to engage in certain activities brings about jealousy, but finding compensatory activities allows for appreciation.
