Science Vs

NOTE

Caffeine Dependency

Caffeine withdrawal is a real thing causing symptoms like headaches, flu-like feelings, and fatigue which last for about two to nine days. Being dependent on caffeine and being addicted to it are not the same. Addiction means using a substance despite knowing its negative effects and being unable to quit. Most people are not negatively affected by caffeine addiction. Tolerance, the need for increasing amounts of caffeine for the same effect, is not common with caffeine as it can lead to anxiety. There is a fine line between feeling alert and feeling anxious due to caffeine consumption. While caffeine is not considered a drug of abuse, mixing it with other drugs can be dangerous.
