The History of the World

If I were designing a curriculum for my 11-year-old son, I would make it broader in chronological and geographical scope. I believe it's more important for him to know a little about everything, rather than everything about Hitler's rise. There's a fantastic video online by Bill Wertz, a complete musical animation history of the world. It's funny and covers everything, even the Phoenicians and Central Asian Carnates. Most history focuses on empires, but not just in Western Europe. They were late to the empire game. Unfortunately, I don't remember the exact URL, but if you google 'Bill Wertz's total history of the world,' you'll find it.
