Feeling good and energized in our bodies is crucial for pursuing activities that contribute to our happiness. When feeling drained and overwhelmed, it becomes challenging to engage in activities that we know would bring us joy. Prioritizing activities that energize and calm us, such as establishing a bedtime routine or engaging in exercise, can positively impact our overall well-being. Additionally, finding activities that we genuinely look forward to and anticipate with pleasure, rather than solely focusing on activities for future benefits, is essential for our happiness.
Gretchen Rubin is an author and podcaster with a passion for helping people become happier.
