Through the chemistry realization of attaching lipids to proteins, the body creates lipoproteins, which are lipid transportation vehicles. The two organs capable of producing lipoproteins are the intestine and the liver. The intestine absorbs lipids, wraps them with a protein, and secretes them into the circulation, while the liver acts as a master chemical control system, creating lipoproteins by wrapping lipids with proteins and releasing them into the bloodstream.
